Little Farm on the River

This is an RV park that has a few cabins. It is located in Indiana on the Ohio River. If this is what you like to do, I highly recommend this place! It is very nice, quiet, we'll cared for... We stopped on our way to Texas.

Colton Point State Park

It was November when I went to visit this park, so it was pretty much deserted. It seems like a nice park. Campsites were right on the park road. Vault toilets, but I'm not sure about showers. I wouldn't guess this is a great place for camping with small children. Between the placement of the campsites and the dangers of camping along the edge of the PA Grand Canyon. Also no pet camping. It looked like it had great picnicking and the view was beautiful. The park was also very well cared for. If you are here to bike the the Pine Creek Trail then this seems like a good choice.

Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Leonard Harrison State Park - There is not a lot of hiking here and no camping, but that is not why you come to Leonard Harrison State Park. You come for the view. Obviously fall is the best time to see the PA Grand Canyon but it is beautiful anytime of the year.

Hills Creek State Park

This park is just north of rte 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield, PA. We stayed in a cabin this last fall, 2013. There is not a lot of hiking here but the park was very family friendly. Nice but close together campsites. Plenty of roads for biking. Beach for swimming. Big bathrooms, good facilities for doing dishes. I can't wait to go back and stay in a yurt or camping cottage. This park is only about 35 minutes away from Leonard Harrison State Park and the Pine Creek Gorge Rail-trail. The PA Grand Canyon is absolutely worth the trip.

Sunfish Pond County Park, Bradford County, PA

Sunfish Pond is adding a few new camping sites. A new road to access these sites was added, also.

My New Backyard

Horned Grebe

It has been a while but I have since moved to PA! This is a pic of a Horned Grebe. Spring migration has been very interesting so far. I even had a couple Arctic Terns visit the pond!
